Rev. Shipe

Caring and sensitive all-faith/interfaith ordained

minister available to officiate your wedding ceremony, anywhere in the States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maine, New Jerey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Georgia or Florida.  I do not require counseling, and there is no obligation to either attend or join the Church.  Unique situations are not a problem.

I will officiate traditional, contemporary, non-religeous, medieval and personalized ceremonies in your choice of location: home, backyoard, gazebo, hotel, on the water, on horseback, at sunrse, sunset or midnight - whatever best suits your lifestyle.

I have officiated weddings in beautiful churches, on the beach in Ocean City during The Fireman's Convention, on the water off Solomons Island, on horseback, in a hot air balloon, and at various state parks.   I had the honor to officiate the first wedding ceremony held at the new Redskin Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

I encourage you to personalize your ceremony to make it uniquely yours.  I have dozens of ceremonies to choose from, or you may write your own vows.

Elopement and short notice ceremonies are possible, as well.

 Requirements

I only have five easy requirements to perform a wedding ceremony:

  • Marriage license issued by the County where you plan to be married.
  •
  •  NO ALCOHOL to be served/consumed PRIOR TO to or DURING the ceremony.  State law prohibits the Bride and Groom from consuming alcohol prior to the ceremony.  It is my requirement that alcohol not be served to guests prior to or during the ceremony, as it has the tendancy to take away from the beauty of the day having to request guests to leave the bar and find their seats so the bride can begin her walk down the aisle.
  •
  • The ceremony will start promptly at the agreed upon time.  We plan for a small leway in tining; however, usually there is another wedding following that I need to get to.  You wouldn't want to be the bride waiting for the minister because the previous wedding started late, would you?
  •
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit to book your date and time.
  •
  • Everyone enjoy themselves!
